Welcome to the California Groundwater Coalition

The CALIFORNIA GROUNDWATER COALITION was established based on the success of a 2007 joint initiative of the Groundwater Resources Association of California, the Association of Ground Water Agencies, and the American Ground Water Trust. Coalition members include public and private water suppliers who rely upon groundwater to help meet the water supply needs of millions of California residents and sustain our economy. The Coalition was formed at the urging of California state and local elected officials who believe that increased efforts are needed to educate and inform policy makers and the public about California’s groundwater resources and the role groundwater plays in providing a safe and reliable water supply for California. The Coalition is an independent 501(c)(6) organization.

The GRA/CGC 2019 Groundwater Law and Legislation Forum will be an interactive day of learning and discussions regarding the most current legal and legislative issues affecting California groundwater. You will learn from the leading practitioners in the field regarding the most pressing issues in California groundwater law and legislation, including the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act, Recharge and Imported Water Considerations, Groundwater Funding Issues, and Groundwater Quality. You will hear from California legislators regarding groundwater concerns on the horizon in the new California Legislative Session and have the opportunity to network with your peers in the California Groundwater space.
